Junior Automation QA Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Automation QA Tester. In this role, you will assist in developing and executing automated test scripts for web and mobile applications. You'll collaborate with senior QA engineers and cross-functional teams, ensuring product quality through automated testing practices. Responsibilities: - Assist in designing and developing automated test scripts using tools like Selenium or Cypress. - Execute automated test cases for functional and regression testing. - Report and track defects using tools like JIRA or Asana. - Collaborate with developers and senior QA engineers to understand requirements and ensure test coverage. - Participate in Agile activities like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives. - Learn and apply API testing concepts using tools like Postman Requirements: - Basic understanding of automation testing tools like Selenium or Cypress. - Familiarity with programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript. - Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile processes. - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and teamwork skills Additional Requirements: - Exposure to CI/CD tools (like Jenkins) is a plus. - ISTQB certification is a plus. Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. - 6 months - 2 years of hands-on experience in software testing, with exposure to automation (internship or academic projects are welcome).
