About This Opportunity

Join Ericsson as an Experienced Architect for CBEV Biller TPG, focused on Invoicing (INV) and Finance (FIN). Bring senior Java engineering and software architecture expertise to a business-critical telecom BSS product. You will translate business and product needs into robust, secure, scalable software designs; guide teams from specification through implementation and verification; and help evolve Biller capabilities for production-grade operator environments. Spec-Driven Development (SDD) and responsible AI-native software development are expected parts of the engineering approach.

What You Will Do

• Own and evolve CBEV Biller architecture, especially INV and FIN; translate business needs and non-functional requirements into solution designs, service boundaries, interfaces, data models, and architecture decisions.
• Design modular distributed services and BSS integrations using APIs and messaging; address availability, scalability, performance, security, resilience, data consistency, observability, and operational support.
• Provide hands-on Java leadership: guide implementation, review code and designs, solve complex issues, improve quality, and coach engineers.
• Promote automated testing, secure development, clean code, CI/CD, performance analysis, and production readiness; manage technical risks and debt.
• Drive Spec-Driven Development (SDD), linking requirements and specifications to design, code, tests, and acceptance evidence. Use approved AI coding tools and agents with effective prompts and human review, protecting security, privacy, and code integrity.
• Guide invoice flows including bill cycles and runs, periodic and on-demand billing, invoice generation and formatting, charges, taxes, discounts, enquiries, and corrections.
• Guide finance flows including customer accounts and receivables, invoice/payment posting, payment allocation, balances, adjustments, deposits, refunds, reversals, transfers, write-offs, reconciliation, and accounting export.
• Protect financial correctness, auditability, and data integrity through robust transaction handling, retries, recovery, and reconciliation; collaborate across product, development, verification, and operations teams.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• 10 to 15 years of hands-on Java development, with demonstrated technical leadership and architecture responsibility appropriate to an experienced architect role.
• Strong Java and object-oriented design: advanced language concepts, concurrency, patterns, debugging, profiling, performance, and secure coding.
• Experience with Spring/Spring Boot, microservices, REST/SOAP, Hibernate or similar persistence, and data modelling.
• Ability to design distributed systems, APIs, and synchronous/asynchronous integrations; experience with cloud-native delivery, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and GitOps.
• Quality-first mindset with Java test automation and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing experience.
• Practical experience with generative AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot or Claude), AI agents, and prompt engineering; familiarity with SDD workflows and documentation.
• Strong BSS and telecom billing knowledge, with depth in both Invoicing and Finance. CBEV/BEAM or comparable BSS, billing, and accounting integrations are an advantage.
• Kafka, Cassandra, and full-stack troubleshooting across UI, services, and APIs are beneficial. Bring clear communication, ownership, mentoring, Agile collaboration, and a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
