To enable faster grid connections and even more resilient energy systems based on renewable energy, we are looking for a High Voltage Engineer to join our team. We are a team of 80 working alongside our global customers on some of the most significant and prestigious projects within connection of renewable energy to the grid. Together, we work closely with our customers on some of the most significant green projects worldwide, contributing to a sustainable future.

In this role your main responsibility will be:

• EHV design and engineering of onshore and offshore AIS/GIS substations up to 400 kV.
• Involvement in Concept Design, Pre-FEED/FEED, and Detailed Design phases for transmission and renewable energy projects.
• Preparation of Design Basis Reports, detailed specifications, engineering philosophies, and technical studies in accordance with applicable Grid Codes and international standards.
• Development of concept and detailed layouts for substations, offshore wind farms, PV plants, BESS facilities, and data centre power infrastructure.
• Preparation and review of Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Protection SLDs, Plan & Section layouts, and overall substation general arrangement drawings.
• Performing engineering sizing calculations like fault level, transformer, generator, HV/MV/LV cables, CT & VT, UPS & DG Set, Battery and battery charger sizing, Short Circuit force Calculation, Conductor Sizing (Flexible and Rigid), lightning protection calculation, Earthing grid design, Capacitor bank, indoor & outdoor illumination, AC and DC load calculation for LVAC and LVDC systems.
• Review of vendor offer like Gas insulated switchgear, Auto transformer, Switchgears, STATCOM/Hybrid STATCOM, SVC, Harmonic Filter Bank, Variable shunt Reactors, Fixed Shunt Reactors, Capacitor bank and other FACTS devices.
• Preparation and review of power and control cable schedules, cable routing layouts, erection key diagrams, and earthing layouts.
• Conducting grid compliance assessments, technical studies, and engineering reviews in accordance with IS, EN, BS, IEC, IEEE, CIGRE, CBIP, NEC, Fire Safety, and applicable standards.
• Supporting tendering activities, proposal preparation, and technical due diligence for greenfield and brownfield projects.

Furthermore, you are required to have:

• A bachelor's or master’s degree in electrical engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
• Experience in high voltage substation design up to 400 kV, Indoor and Outdoor AIS/GIS substation.
• Software proficiency in AutoCAD, Primtech 3D, Revit, AutoCAD Construction Cloud, CDEGS, CYMCAP, CABLEIZER, ETAP or similar software.
• Clear knowledge of work procedures, and ability to work independently.
• Fully conversant with health and safety standards and regulations applicable to the design of HV substations.
• Delivering drawings to desired quality standards and according to mutually agreed timelines with the client.
• Excellent proficiency in English for composing complex technical documentation and communicating with clients.
