We are looking for an Enterprise Database Architect who can lead high-performing teams, drive technical excellence, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of SHLs Talent Intelligence and Assessment platforms.

What You Will Be Doing

• Cloud Data Architecture: Expert in Snowflake and Redshift, specializing in schema design, performance tuning, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Scalable Pipelines: Architecting robust ETL/ELT flows using AWS Glue, PySpark, and MSK (Kafka) for real-time CDC and event-driven data ingestion.
• Strategic Data Modeling: Proficient in ER modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, and Data Vault concepts to build governed, scalable data foundations.
• BI & Analytics Enablement: Delivering advanced Tableau/Power BI solutions with deep DAX/SQL expertise, RLS security, and API-driven automation.
• Governance & DevOps: Ensuring data reliability and compliance through CI/CD, automated quality checks, and comprehensive metadata management.
  
  

What we are looking for

Essential

• Advanced hands-on mastery of Snowflake and Amazon Redshift (specifically performance tuning, clustering, and distribution).
• High proficiency in Python and SQL for complex transformations and ETL/ELT logic.
• Expert-level ER modelling, normalization/denormalization strategies, and designing scalable AWS ecosystems (S3, Lambda, Athena, Step Functions).
• A "security-first" mindset with deep knowledge of GDPR, data privacy, encryption, and audit logging.
• Ability to build governed semantic layers and optimize workloads for Tableau and Power BI.
  
  

Desirable:

• Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming technologies like MSK/Kafka.
• Familiarity with modern software engineering, including Git, CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/AWS CodePipeline), and automated testing.
• The ability to design specifically for "cost-effective" scalability within the cloud.
• Specialized knowledge in building governed layers that balance user access with data integrity
