Corporate Internal Auditor

Corporate Internal Audit function aims to enhance and protect organizational value by providing independent, risk-based, and objective assurance, advice, and insights. This helps improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and control processes, ultimately adding value to the organization’s operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform Internal audit assignments across the cargo-partner group
• Perform and control full audit cycles including risk management and control management to evaluate operation effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable internal directives and regulations
• Develop audit programs to assess internal risks and controls; review and perform tests to ensure comprehensible documentation of audit findings
• Perform data analysis to identify useful information and support audit or investigation.
• Evaluate internal controls to give reasonable assurance that there are no signs of mismanagement, resource misuse or fraud
• Work with management and other audit team members to define action plans which will drive efficiencies and reduce identified risks
• Develop audit reports and ensure regular follow-up of the agreed action implementation status
• Participate in ad-hoc consulting and investigative projects
• Assist in developing audit plans as per Schedule.
  
  

Education Qualification

• Minimum of a Bachelor degree in economics /commerce or related area
• Relevant professional certifications are a plus like MBA, CWA, CIA.
  
  

Experience

• Working experience in internal/external audit for a minimum of 2 years
• Preference: Prior experience in the freight forwarding industry
  
  

Skills

• Proficient working knowledge of English for business environments
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (excel, word and Power point)
• High attention to detail and strong analytical, critical-thinking and decision making skills
• Excellent active listening, written communication and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Desire to be a team player who is able to work independently when necessary
• Willingness and ability to travel
