Technology…or technology that breathes life into work? SHL, People Science. People Answers.
The Business & Service Continuity Coordinator is a critical role at the intersection of SaaS platform resilience and internal IT service reliability. This individual owns the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of continuity and recovery programs that protect both customer-facing product availability and the internal systems our teams depend on every day.
Operating within a fast-paced SaaS environment, this role demands deep collaboration with Engineering, DevOps, Security, Legal, and HR to ensure every layer of our technology stack — from cloud infrastructure to employee tooling — can withstand disruption and recover swiftly when incidents occur.
A great benefits package is offered in a culture where career development, ongoing manager assist, collaboration, diversity, and inclusivity are intrinsic to the way we work. SHL continues to invest heavily in technology and security, making this an exciting time to be part of something transformational. Hybrid working is available.
What You Will Be Doing
SaaS Platform Continuity
Define and govern RTOs/RPOs, multi‑region failover architecture, and DR runbooks for all customer‑facing services and infrastructure.
Embed BC/DR requirements into SDLC and change management; lead regular outage, cyber‑incident, and failover simulations.
Maintain DR plans and monitor SLA compliance to meet contractual uptime obligations.
Internal IT Services Continuity
Maintain continuity, backup, and recovery plans for critical internal IT systems, data, endpoints, and network services.
Own BIAs and IT continuity playbooks to drive recovery prioritization and response for major disruption scenarios.
Assess BC/DR posture of critical third‑party vendors and escalate material risks to Procurement and Legal.
Program Governance & Reporting
Own the Business Continuity Plan lifecycle, documentation governance, and enterprise risk alignment.
Report BC/DR posture, testing outcomes, risks, remediation progress, and audit readiness to senior leadership.
Essential
What we are looking for from you:
3-5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, IT operations, or a closely related risk/security discipline.
Demonstrated experience developing and testing DRPs in a cloud-native or SaaS environment (AWS or Azure preferred).
Strong understanding of SaaS architecture concepts: multi-tenancy, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native storage and networking.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to SaaS companies: SOC 2, ISO 27000 series, ISO 22301, NIST CSF, GDPR, etc.
Excellent cross-functional communication skills — able to translate technical risks into business language for executive audiences.
Desirable
Certification in CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional), MBCP, CISA, or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer.
Experience with BC/DR platforms such as Fusion Risk Management, Archer, Everbridge, Alert Media or AWS/Azure native DR tooling.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and working alongside SRE or Platform Engineering teams.
Background in a regulated SaaS vertical (fintech, healthtech, edtech, or government SaaS).
