Assistant Manager - Operations - Freight Forwarding

Ocean Import Operations 

• · Manage FCL/LCL import shipments from pre-arrival to final delivery and closure. 
• · Coordinate with shipping lines, NVOCCs, CFS/ICDs, CHAs, transporters, and overseas agents. 
• · Track vessel schedules, cargo availability, shipment milestones, and delivery timelines.
•  · Ensure timely shipment updates and adherence to customer 

SOPs and SLAs. Documentation & Customs 

• · Verify BLs, invoices, packing lists, and other import documentation. 
• · Coordinate documentation amendments, customs clearance, and Delivery Order processing. 
• · Ensure compliance with customs, port, and company requirements. 

Vendor & Customer Coordination

•  · Follow up with shipping lines and vendors for cargo release and timely delivery. 
• · Resolve routine shipment issues and escalate critical exceptions. 
• · Provide timely shipment updates and address customer queries. Reporting & Compliance 
• · Maintain shipment trackers, operational MIS, and accurate shipment records. 
• · Monitor turnaround times, pending activities, and documentation accuracy. 
• · Coordinate billing inputs and ensure timely shipment closure
