Job Description

As an Assistant Manager – Accounts Receivable, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Finance & Accounting operations, managing a high-performing team, and driving process excellence. You will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and supporting strategic initiatives across Ramboll’s global operations.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and supervise the Accounts Receivable team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, collections, and cash applications.
  • Develop and implement AR policies and procedures to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding receivables.
  • Monitor and manage the team’s daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze aging reports and coordinate efforts to reduce overdue accounts and bad debt.
  • Prepare and present AR performance reports and metrics to senior management regularly.
  • Coach, mentor, and conduct performance evaluations for AR team members to promote continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy in AR functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
  • Manage escalations and complex customer inquiries related to invoicing and payments.
  • Promote a service-oriented mindset and ensure delivery of high-quality output.
  • Build and maintain proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience


  • Education: B.Com & CA Inter (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • Experience: 8–10 years of relevant experience in managing Accounts Receivable function, with at least 3 years in a people management role.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and manage projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Service-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.


Technical Skills


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with financial software applications (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Maconomy ERP is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
