We are looking for high-potential, flexible, innovative, and forward-thinking professionals to join our India Operations team. Join the External Fulfillment Operations team as an Area Manager.

As Area Managers for our sellers, you will be responsible for direct people management experience in driving operational performance in a highly metric driven environment. You will also lead many process improvement projects, both for the site and the network, to drive enhancements in key shop floor metrics, viz. Quality, Cost and Delivery. One of your key responsibilities will also be development of your team members.

  • You must be flexible to work weekends and/or overnight shifts regularly and to travel to seller nodes to launch, set up & monitor Flex operations. Manage the performance and behavior of up to 06 Amazon Associates through effective 1:1 meetings, coaching, and mentor-ship
  • Manage schedules, monitor adherence and attendance of the team

Set up robust processes to drive forecasting accuracy with an objective to minimize cost and maximize customer experience

  • Implement performance goals and evaluate against pre-set goals implementing action plans to resolve performance barriers as needed
  • Set the vision of the team by managing individual and team performance expectations and goals.
  • Manage and drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, projects and other Change/ Kaizen initiatives as required.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify areas of opportunity that will drive performance improvement
  • Support in product initiatives to reduce contacts by emphasizing on automation
  • Support in hiring the right associates
  • Solve complex seller issues and proactively connect with stakeholders to reduce dependencies

Key job responsibilities

2+ years of employee and performance management experience Bachelors degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.

Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

A day in the life

  • Manage the performance and behavior of up to 06 OEs as directs
  • Audit seller visits along with Operation Executives and ensure 100% compliance

Set up robust processes to drive forecasting accuracy with an objective to minimize cost and maximize customer experience

  • Implement performance goals and evaluate against pre-set goals implementing action plans to resolve performance barriers as needed
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify areas of opportunity that will drive performance improvement

  • Solve complex seller issues and proactively connect with stakeholders to reduce dependencies

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
