Job Description

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer (Manual + Automation) who will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our web and mobile applications. This role involves owning end-to-end testing activities, contributing to automation strategy, and working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. You will also mentor junior team members and act as a quality advocate across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute detailed manual test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, UAT, and acceptance testing for web and mobile applications.
• Conduct Web Services / API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger.
• Lead or contribute to the design, creation, and adoption of automation frameworks, guiding the automation team on best practices (preferred languages: Java or Python).
• Execute web automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, or equivalent frameworks.
• Perform database validations using SQL queries and scripts.
• Execute performance testing to evaluate system behavior under load and stress conditions.
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test strategies, risk assessments, and test result reports.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure application functionality aligns with business requirements.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Review system requirements and technical design documents for testability, coverage, and completeness.
• Mentor junior QA engineers, review their deliverables, and ensure high-quality output aligned with established testing standards and frameworks.
• Lead QA-related communication with business owners and stakeholders, providing test status updates, risk analysis, and delivery timelines.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in manual software testing, with additional hands-on automation experience.
• Strong proficiency in test scenario design, test case creation, and test execution.
• Expertise in API testing, SQL/database validation, and performance testing tools.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
• Solid experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automation frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  
  

• Experience testing cloud-based or microservices architectures.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
• Prior experience in mentoring or leading QA initiatives in fast-paced Agile teams.
