About This Role :

Gartner is seeking a Security Analyst to support vulnerability management and cloud security across enterprise infrastructure environments. The analyst will review vulnerability and cloud-security findings, assess risk based on technical and business context, coordinate remediation with infrastructure and development teams, and validate that corrective actions are effective.

The role will also contribute to security reporting, documentation, automation, and cloud-configuration reviews involving areas such as identity, network exposure, encryption, logging, and secure configuration standards.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise security technologies while developing expertise in cloud security and vulnerability management.

This role is a fixed 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST shift.

What You Will Do

• Support Gartner's vulnerability management program by identifying, tracking, prioritizing, and validating remediation of security vulnerabilities.
• Review and analyze findings from vulnerability scanners, cloud security platforms, and security monitoring tools.
• Partner with infrastructure, cloud, application and development teams to coordinate remediation activities and reduce organizational risk.
• Assist in the administration and optimization of vulnerability management and cloud security technologies.
• Review AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud configurations for risks involving IAM, network exposure, encryption, logging, storage permissions, and compliance with approved security baselines.
• Help develop dashboards, reporting, and metrics that provide visibility into security posture and remediation progress.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, remediation guidance, and standard operating procedures.
• Develop and maintain scripts and automated workflows to improve the efficiency of security processes.
• Research emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and cloud security trends and share relevant findings with the team.

What you will need :

1-3 years of experience in Information Security, IT Operations, Systems Administration, Cloud Operations, or a related technical field.

Must have:

• Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, common attack vectors, and remediation strategies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with vulnerability management, security monitoring, or security assessment tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
• Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
