Compliance Executive

Job Summary

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented GST/TDS Compliance Executive to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of Indian tax laws, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work meticulously with financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file various GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-4, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C accurately and on time.
• Reconcile GST data with books of accounts, purchase registers, and sales registers to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of responses to GST notices and assessments from tax authorities.
• Ensure proper maintenance of GST records, invoices, and other supporting documents.
• Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, 27Q) for various categories of payments.
• Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16A, 16, 27D) to vendors and employees within statutory deadlines.
• Reconcile TDS payable with the general ledger and ensure timely deposit of TDS to the government.
• Stay updated with the latest amendments and changes in GST and TDS laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable) to gather necessary data for compliance.
• Assist with internal and external audits related to GST and TDS.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all GST and TDS compliance activities.
• Provide support and guidance on GST and TDS related queries to internal stakeholders.
• Maintaining proper compliance records and documentation.
• Supporting senior CA in audits and compliance reviews.
