Job Description

Role : Database Administrator (DBA)

Work Location : Vadodara, Gujarat

Who Are You

• We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) who can take ownership of our database environments, ensuring they are secure, reliable, and perform at their best. The role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining databases, monitoring performance, and fine-tuning queries, indexes, and configurations for optimal efficiency. You’ll manage backups, restores, and disaster recovery strategies while enforcing strong database security through roles, permissions, and encryption.
• The ideal candidate should be skilled in T-SQL / PL-SQL scripting for automation and troubleshooting, have experience with database migration, patching, and version upgrades, and possess a solid understanding of Windows Server and/or Linux systems. Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL platforms is an advantage.
• It’s also beneficial to have experience with database auditing, compliance, performance tuning, and monitoring tools. A background in large-scale or multi-database environments, capacity planning, and automated maintenance scripting will be a plus.
  
  

Experience : 5-7 Years

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related engineering discipline

Must Have Skills

• Expertise in database installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Monitor database performance and proactively tune queries, indexes, and configurations.
• Proficiency in T-SQL / PL-SQL scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
• Implement and manage database backup, restore, disaster recovery, and high availability (HA/DR)
• Strong database security management - roles, permissions, and encryption.
• Experience with database migration, patching, and version upgrades.
• Good understanding of Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  
  

Good To Have Skills

• Hands-on experience with database auditing, compliance, and encryption tools.
• Understanding of database capacity planning and storage management.
• Experience in large-scale enterprise or multi-database environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools.
• Performance tuning and optimization.
• Plan and perform database upgrades, patching, and migrations between environments.
• Monitor database health and automate routine maintenance tasks through scripts and tools.

How Your Day Might Look Like

• Manage, monitor, and maintain all production and development database environments.
• Ensure database performance, security, and availability through proactive monitoring and tuning.
• Develop automation scripts for routine maintenance, monitoring, and reporting.
• Implement and validate backup and disaster recovery strategies.
• Analyze slow-running queries, optimize execution plans, and fine-tune indexing strategies.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, patching, and data migrations across environments.
• Document database architecture, configurations, and procedures for reference and audit readiness.
