Key Responsibilities
Design and develop 3D components, assemblies and 2D drawings using Creo for manufacturing
Participate in design reviews and implement feedback effectively
Develop BOMs in windchill and design documentation
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and sourcing teams to ensure design feasibility and cost optimization
Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and internal design practices
contribute to continuous improvement and value engineering initiatives
Must Have Competencies
Able to design sheet metal assemblies in alignment of industrial designs
Proficiency in Creo (mandatory) for 3D modelling, assemblies, and detailing
Good analytical and mechanical design skills
Good understanding of fits, tolerances and GD&T concepts and their application in engineering drawings
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Good To Have Competencies
Experience or exposure to pump design / rotating equipment
Understanding of electric motor
Familiarity with manufacturing processes specially sheet metal
Awareness of industry standards
Exposure to design validation and testing processes
Ability to Python-based design automation and optimization tools will be an added advantage
Technical Skills
Knowledge of Creo (part modelling, assemblies, drawing)
Experience in sheet metal modules within CAD tools
Familiarity with MS Excel for engineering calculations and data handling
Familiarity with windchill
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering
