Must have:

Hands-on design and implementation knowledge of AWS Cloud services and features, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Load Balancers, Route53, etc.

Ability take command of production issues and troubleshooting through layers of CDN, WAF, application logic, including web services and APIs.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, navigation in/around site setup and teardown, and cloud AWS based infrastructures.

Use of Terraform to integrate with other AWS services and third-party tools, such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, etc.

Advanced understanding of the principles and practices of DevOps, such as continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), agile, lean, etc.

Experience in using various DevOps tools and technologies, such as Git, GitHub, Gitlab, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

WAF Implementation: Design, configure, and deploy Web Application Firewalls to protect web applications from a range of security threats, ensuring optimal performance and minimal impact on legitimate traffic

Akamai Configuration: Implement and optimize Akamai solutions, including CDN (Content Delivery Network) services, caching configurations, and DDoS mitigation strategies

Security Policy Development: Create and customize security policies for WAF to address specific application vulnerabilities and compliance requirements

Incident Response: Monitor security events, analyze WAF logs, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner

Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and mitigate security threats

Performance Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize WAF and Akamai configurations to enhance security posture while minimizing impact on application performance

Responsible for production implementation and support activities. Good communication skills. Team Oriented and can work independently.

Forward thinking, independent, creative, self-sufficient and go-getter, who can work with less documentation.

Good experience in working with Agile/Scrum teams and Agile development environments.

Good to Have:

Hands-on proficient in scripting languages, such as C-Shell, Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.

Hands-on proficient in programming languages, such as Java, Javascript, Python, Ruby, etc.

Hands-on proficient in design patterns w/ programming languages, such as Java, Javascript, Python, Ruby, etc. - data structures and modern web stack.

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Terraform Associate, etc.

Terraform functional development to create, manage, and update cloud infrastructure using code and integrations.

Writing and maintaining Terraform modules, variables, and state files.
