Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the quality strategy for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.

The work model for the role is:

This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Responsible for Testing and Inspection of products & processes in all stages of manufacturing, Product testing, equipment calibration and final Inspections & will be reporting to LPG Operations Manager.
• Measures, analyze and reports Process KPIs and Taking on larger improvement initiatives, such as process improvement and operational excellence projects. Plan and perform quality audits / process audits.
• Co-ordinate quality activities and drive ABB methodologies such as L6S.
• Responsible for defect analysis and take corrective and preventive actions to improve FPY etc.
• Monitoring and driving the in process/ Testing KPI like on time delivery, inspections, defects analysis ,CAPA, FPY etc.
• Constantly strive for minimizing / eliminating CCRPs and act as coordinator for quick response to CCRPs.
• To ensure that required quality activities are established in SAP QM module and update master data whenever required.
• Ensure proper documentation and standardization of procedures related to all inspection and quality activities with respect to ISO/organization standard.
• Proactively close all deviations with respect to quality systems.
  
  

Qualification for the role

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (should be full-time)
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience Testing of GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear)
• Hands on experience in FAT, Relay Testing, CT, PT testing, HV Testing, PD testing of MV Switchgear (GIS / AIS)
• Ability to review engineering drawings, troubleshoot schematics, resolve issues, and form testing plans
• Experience interacting with customers for FAT, quality plans, and handling complaints
• Skills in measuring and monitoring FPY, ensuring equipment calibration, and relay testing configuration
• Strong knowledge of switchgear protection and complex schematics (mandatory); SAP‑QM preferred but not required
