Job Title: Hardware Assembly Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Hardware Assembly Test Engineer with 2–3 years of relevant experience to support the assembly, testing, and validation of electronic hardware assemblies used in instrumentation and electronic systems. The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma in Electronics Engineering and have hands‑on experience in PCB assembly, hardware testing, and troubleshooting in a production or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic hardware including PCBs, modules, and sub‑assemblies as per schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
  • Perform functional testing, continuity checks, and basic electrical measurements on assembled boards.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly‑level and component‑level hardware issues.
  • Support prototype assembly and bring‑up activities.
  • Conduct testing using laboratory instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, regulated power supplies, and signal generators.
  • Assist in hardware debugging during testing, validation, and production.
  • Carry out burn‑in tests, calibration, and validation activities as required for instrumentation products.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate test records, assembly checklists, failure analysis reports, and rework logs.
  • Coordinate with hardware design, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensure proper ESD practices and safe handling of electronic components.

Required Qualifications And Experience

  • Diploma in Electronics Engineering
  • 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in electronics hardware assembly and testing.
  • Good understanding of basic analog and digital electronics.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Practical experience in through‑hole (TH) and basic SMD assembly.
  • Familiarity with electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, ICs, connectors, and relays.
  • Experience using test and measurement equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply).
  • Basic troubleshooting skills at board and component level.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with instrumentation or industrial electronics products
  • Knowledge of soldering, de‑soldering, and PCB rework
  • Exposure to production, quality control, and manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of ESD, safety standards, and good manufacturing practices
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team
