API Backend Developer

About The Role

Our client is seeking a skilled API Backend Developer with hands-on experience in Express.js to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of RESTful APIs and should have prior experience working with ReactJS on the front-end, enabling seamless collaboration with UI teams.

Note : This is a remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Express.js and Node.js.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate APIs with ReactJS-based applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Implement data models, authentication, and third-party integrations.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues across development, staging, and production environments.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to code reviews and best practices.
  
  

• 8-12 years proven experience developing APIs using Express.js.
• Good understanding of Node.js, JavaScript, and asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with ReactJS and front-end integration.
• Experience working with MongoDB, MySQL, or other databases.
• Strong understanding of RESTful architecture, authentication (JWT, OAuth), and error handling.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.
  
  

• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, or cloud platforms like AWS.
• Exposure to unit testing and API testing tools like Postman, Jest, or Mocha.
