About The Role

We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Horticultural Executive to manage the procurement of plants, seeds, fertilizers, and related materials. The role involves vendor management, quality assurance, and ensuring timely availability of horticultural products for smooth warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure plants, seeds, fertilizers, and gardening materials as per business requirements
• Identify and develop reliable vendors and nurseries
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery timelines with suppliers
• Ensure quality standards of all incoming horticultural products
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams for demand planning
• Monitor stock levels and avoid shortages or overstocking
• Maintain procurement records, invoices, and documentation
• Conduct market research to identify new products and cost-saving opportunities
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture / Agriculture / Botany or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement or horticulture operations
• Strong knowledge of plants, fertilizers, and gardening products
• Good negotiation and vendor management skills
• Basic understanding of inventory management systems
• Strong communication and coordination skills
  
  

• Experience in agri-tech or nursery operations
• Familiarity with B2C/B2B supply chain processes
• Knowledge of local plant vendors and market in Kolkata
