Job Overview

The Workday focused People Systems Analyst is a midlevel HR technology professional responsible for configuration, troubleshooting, reporting, and ongoing optimization of Workday. This role applies good functional knowledge and hands on system expertise to support business processes, deliver enhancements, guide design discussions, and ensure good quality system performance.

The Analyst partners with People Team SMEs, IT, and cross functional stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, drive process design improvements, and support organizational change management. This role requires good analytical skills, project management capability, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

People Systems Management & Support

  • Troubleshoot Workday issues across functional areas, assess downstream impacts, maintain configuration standards, and translate business requirements into system specifications.
  • Monitor Workday roadmap developments and advise stakeholders on upcoming feature releases.

Workday Configuration & Administration

  • Configure and administer Workday components, including business processes, tenant setup, rules, validations, notifications, alerts, security, reports, and calculated fields.
  • Leverage vendor documentation and internal standards to support configuration updates and documentation.

Project Management & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead moderately complex cross-functional projects, support requirements gathering, design end-to-end solutions, and drive change management to ensure adoption and value realization.

Testing, Controls & Documentation

  • Perform structured testing, validation, and documentation of system changes while ensuring compliance with required controls.

Data, Reporting & Analytics

  • Develop custom workforce reports and analyze data from multiple sources to answer business questions, ensuring accuracy and audience relevance.

Agile & Process Innovation

  • Manage Agile activities including backlog prioritization and demos, while identifying process improvement opportunities and recommending innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of Workday experience across multiple functional areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to configure Workday and execute release testing cycles.
  • Configuration experience in Workday's Talent suite (Recruiting, Performance, Talent Management)
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Experience leading cross functional projects.
  • Familiarity with HR policies, processes, and operating environments.

Preferences

  • Workday Certification
  • Experience within the financial or wealth management industry
