The IT Procurement Manager will deliver high‑value procurement solutions across Data, Digital & IT categories by driving best‑in‑class sourcing, supplier management, and value creation initiatives. The role supports strategic vendor selection, technology category management, and performance improvement activities to ensure continuous productivity, cost optimization, and operational excellence in partnership with business and IT stakeholders.
About The Role
Major accountabilities:
Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives across IT domains, including requirements gathering, specification definition, demand management, and execution of sourcing strategies.
Plan, organize, and manage procurement projects by balancing priorities, resources, budgets, risks, and constraints to meet defined objectives and timelines.
Execute the complete Source-to-Contract (S2C) process, including market analysis, strategy development, RFP management, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation using fact-based, adaptive negotiation approaches.
Partner with stakeholders to identify cost-effective demand management opportunities that support IT, business, and Procurement goals.
Ensure strategic alignment between business requirements and Novartis procurement strategies, driving consistency, transparency, and compliance.
Analyze and challenge specifications to optimize requirements, improve supplier competitiveness, and maximize value for internal customers.
Build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships, demonstrating an understanding of business priorities, operating models, and cross-functional dependencies.
Drive continuous improvement, contributing to year-on-year productivity, process enhancements, and value delivery.
Minimum Requirements
5–10 years of experience in IT Procurement or Technology Sourcing.
Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
Expertise in vendor management, including performance evaluation, governance, and relationship management.
Experience in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and customer needs assessment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
