Role Description

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for procurement of assigned information technology products, software, SaaS subscriptions, cloud services, telecommunications, hardware, and IT professional services while utilizing market intelligence and negotiation strategies to achieve the best value for Eastman.
Support strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier selection activities, RFx processes, and commercial evaluations for IT-related goods and services.
Obtain and analyze supplier proposals, software licensing models, service agreements, statements of work (SOWs), and pricing structures to determine optimal sourcing solutions.
Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, payment terms, service level agreements (SLAs), renewal provisions, and contract terms while managing supplier relationships.
Collaborate with IT, Finance, Legal, Information Security, and business stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with company standards and compliance requirements.
Process and document Procure-to-Pay transactions accurately and efficiently in partnership with Sourcing Managers, Accounts Payable, IT stakeholders, and suppliers.
Identify and implement cost savings, cost avoidance, license optimization, and process improvement opportunities without impacting business operations or service levels.
Assist with vendor onboarding, supplier risk assessments, and documentation requirements for new technology suppliers.
Resolve purchase order, invoice, contract, and supplier performance issues in a timely manner.
Support contract creation, review, execution tracking, and maintenance within contract lifecycle management systems.
Maintain awareness of software licensing trends, technology market conditions, supplier capabilities, and emerging technologies.
Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders regarding IT procurement practices, sourcing strategies, and supplier management.
Seek to become the subject matter expert and source of advice within assigned categories and technologies.
Required Skills And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of procurement, sourcing, IT procurement, contract management, or related business experience preferred.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal customers and external suppliers.
Understanding of software licensing models, technology contracts, cloud services agreements, and commercial terms.
Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodologies, supplier management practices, and procurement processes.
Familiarity with SAP, SAP Ariba, contract management systems, and procurement technologies preferred.
Ability to adapt to changing technologies, business priorities, and organizational processes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial evaluation skills.
Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Demonstrated negotiation and supplier management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Understanding of cybersecurity, data privacy, and third-party risk considerations is preferred.
Comfortable managing conflict and influencing stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate leadership.
