About The Department

Clarion Partners’ Fund Accounting and Finance team manages accounting, reporting, audits, compliance, and investor support across a diverse portfolio of real estate investments, joint ventures, and fund structures. The team works closely with asset management, portfolio management, corporate finance, and external service providers to ensure accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. Joining the team offers exposure to multiple asset classes, complex investment structures, and opportunities to contribute to the growth of a scalable global fund accounting platform.

How You Will Add Value?

Core Responsibilities

  • You will oversee accounting for real estate investments and joint ventures.
  • You will manage portfolio accountants and property-level financial reviews.
  • You will review acquisition, disposition, and financing transactions.
  • You will review fund consolidations and client reporting.
  • You will lead year-end audits and financial statement preparation.
  • You will monitor debt covenant compliance and reporting obligations.

Strategic Responsibilities

  • You will support performance reporting, budgeting, and regulatory requirements.
  • You will drive workflow improvements and process efficiency initiatives.
  • You will help establish and scale the India-based fund accounting team.
  • You will support hiring, onboarding, and team development.
  • You will strengthen offshore processes, controls, and documentation.

Team & Collaboration

  • You will partner with asset and portfolio management teams.
  • You will collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, legal counsel, and administrators.
  • You will manage investor requests and client-related inquiries.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience, Education & Certifications

  • 8–12 years of real estate portfolio accounting experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA-India), Certified Management Accountant (CMA-India), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.
  • Public accounting experience; Big 4 preferred.
  • Experience working with offshore teams.
  • Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) experience preferred.
  • Private equity experience preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data management skills.
  • Experience with MRI or Yardi systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial reporting capabilities.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM IST - 11:00 PM IST
