As a Deals Advisory - Data Specialist - Senior Associate, you will engage directly with clients to provide forensic services, focusing on fraud investigations and regulatory enforcement. Within our Deals practice, you will leverage your analytical skills to navigate complex data and deliver insights that drive commercial diligence and value creation. This role offers the chance to work within the Forensic Technology network, where you will be instrumental in uncovering critical information that supports client decision-making.

As a Senior Associate, you will utilize your problem-solving abilities and critical thinking to manage workstreams and develop deliverables within client service engagements. You will build meaningful client connections, anticipate needs, and embrace increased ambiguity to deliver quality work. Your role involves guiding and mentoring others, maintaining professional standards, and developing a deeper understanding of the business context.

Profile: Early-career data practitioner with 3 - 7 years of experience delivering data-related

activities within project, operational, or transformation environments

Role Overview

The Data Specialist is a delivery-focused practitioner who supports the analysis,

preparation, management, and use of data within business and transformation

programmes. The role combines developing technical skills with strong analytical

capabilities and collaboration across teams. The individual is expected to contribute to data

activities under the guidance of senior practitioners, maintain quality standards, and support

data-driven decision-making.

Essential Non-Technical Skills

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work effectively with business and technical stakeholders

to understand requirements and provide updates on assigned tasks. Escalate issues

and seek clarification where required.

  • Communication: Communicate data findings and project updates to team members

and stakeholders. Produce accurate documentation and reports.

  • Analytical & Problem Solving: Investigate data issues and support root-cause

analysis activities. Apply structured approaches to problem solving with guidance

from senior team members.

  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Work collaboratively with data, technology, and business

teams. Contribute positively to team objectives and knowledge sharing.

  • Business Awareness: Develop understanding of business processes, organizational

objectives, and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Delivery Focus: Manage assigned tasks effectively and deliver work to agreed

timelines and quality standards. Develop quality assurance skills across all types of

deliverables.

  • Adaptability & Learning: Demonstrate willingness to learn new tools, technologies,

and ways of working. Adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.

What You Must Have

Experience expectations

  • 3–7 years of experience in a data, analytics, reporting, or technology-related role.
  • Experience working with structured data using SQL and reporting or visualisation tools.
  • Awareness of software engineering principles (SOLID, DRY), writing clean, readable, reusable

Python, unit testing basics (pytest), Git branching & PR reviews, and an introduction to CI/CD

pipelines.

  • Exposure to cloud data platforms, data transformation, or reporting solutions.
  • Experience supporting delivery within project or operational environments.
  • Understanding of data quality, governance, and data management principles.
  • Ability to work independently on defined tasks while seeking guidance when required.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and develop technical and consulting skills.
