Summary

HEOR Director (Health Economics and Outcomes Research Director) is responsible for overseeing a large, multi-functional BSI HEOR team in Hyderabad & Dublin responsible for 5 teams: Evidence & Insights, Evidence Synthesis, Economic modelling, Dossiers and Plans, HEOR Solutions Group in a way that demonstrates value, effectiveness, and real-world impact for HEOR & HTA International team This role provides strategic direction, scientific oversight, and operational leadership to ensure the successful execution of HEOR projects/studies, economic models, evidence generation, and HTA submissions, and internal strategy & plans across the portfolio. The role partners closely with relevant departments in International HEOR & HTA team to support payer submissions, HTA strategies, pricing decisions, and evidence generation plans.

About The Role

Location – Hyderabad Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a large team of 50–80 HEOR professionals across Hyderabad and Dublin, covering Evidence & Insights, Evidence Synthesis, Modelling, Dossiers & Plans, and HEOR Solutions Group.
  • Lead and drive the strategic and operational agenda for BSI HEOR, in alignment with the BSI V&A Lead, and Int’l HEOR & HTA LT/TA heads.
  • Ensure high‑quality, timely delivery of HEOR & HTA outputs in the assigned areas across the portfolio in line with global and local business and access objectives.
  • Partner closely with Int’l HEOR & HTA LT/TA Heads, Access, and cross‑functional stakeholders to shape strategic priorities and translate them into clear tactical plans and BOW for each of the BSI HEOR teams thereby enabling impactful support.
  • Propose and ensures systems and processes to proactively capture key Int HEOR & HTA needs with focus on major markets, using these insights to inform and prioritize BSI HEOR deliverables in line with business needs, resources, risks, and impact.
  • Monitor and track KPIs and impact metrics for the BSI HEOR business, leveraging project management tools, data platforms, analytics, and reporting to drive continuous improvement in operational execution, productivity, and the strategic impact of BSI HEOR & HTA deliverables.
  • In alignment with Int HEOR & HTA LT provides strong people and capability leadership, including resource planning, hiring, performance management, talent development, and succession planning; build and continuously strengthen capabilities in each of the 5 teams with their respective leads: Evidence & Insights, Evidence Synthesis, Economic Modeling, Dossiers & Plans, and HEOR Solutions Group.
  • Foster a high‑performance culture of HEOR excellence, collaboration, scientific rigor, and operational efficiency; promote best‑practice sharing, standardized ways of working, and integrated delivery across Hyderabad and Dublin, contributing to a cohesive, integrated BSI HEOR V&A function across sites.
  • Ensure robust governance, data and project management, and compliance by adhering to group project management tools, standards, and policies; oversee HEOR data management in alignment with EDM guidelines, and maintain audit, SOP, and training compliance across all BSI HEOR V&A activities.
  • Partner with NVS stakeholders to co‑design, refine, and implement processes, guidelines, and SOPs that strengthen inspection and audit readiness and enhance the quality, consistency, and impact of V&A services delivered from BSI.

Essential Requirements

  • Masters or PhD in relevant discipline (including health economics, epidemiology, health services research, public health, or business management)
  • Pharmaceutical domain knowledge
  • MS-Office skills (MS-Excel, MS-Word, and MS-Power-point)
  • 13-15 years in PA domain (PMA / HEOR / EM) research / activities for pharmaceutical products in pharma industry, contract research organization, or academic institute; or experience in a closely related discipline within the pharma industry (e.g. clinical research, statistics, epidemiology, pricing analytics)
  • Ability to work, prioritize, and drive projects independently
  • Proven leadership (people management and project management)
