Network Specialist - MandS

Overview

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Network Specialist to support the day-to-day operations, optimization, and troubleshooting of a complex, multi-vendor network infrastructure. As a Network Specialist, you will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and resolving network-related issues across a range of technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with enterprise network solutions, strong troubleshooting skills, and a passion for ensuring that network performance meets organizational needs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Network Maintenance & Support:

Configure and maintain network devices, including Cisco Routers, Nexus switches, Fortinet Firewalls, Juniper SRX, and F5 Load Balancers.

Provide hands-on support for Cisco Wireless, Juniper Mist, ACI, and Palo Alto solutions.

Troubleshooting & Optimization:

Quickly troubleshoot and resolve network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal network performance.

Work with enterprise monitoring tools and dashboards to identify performance bottlenecks and proactively address them.

Security & Compliance:

Implement and monitor network security protocols across firewalls, SD-WAN, and VPNs using technologies such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Zscaler.

Assist in regular network audits to ensure compliance with industry best practices and company security policies.

Configuration & Documentation:

Assist in network configuration tasks for new implementations and existing network upgrades.

Maintain accurate and detailed network documentation, including configurations, network topology, and operational procedures.

Collaboration & Support:

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure network configurations align with business needs.

Provide tier-2 and tier-3 support for network incidents and escalations.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

Core Networking Skills:

5-7 years of hands-on experience in network administration and support.

Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Routers, Nexus switches, Juniper SRX, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and F5 solutions.

Security & SD-WAN:

Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Zscaler).

Network Monitoring:

Familiarity with network monitoring and performance tools (e.g., Nexus Dashboard, SNMP, SolarWinds).

Certifications:

CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent certifications preferred.

Soft Skills:

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.

Clear communication and documentation skills.
