Our global Service Engineering team is looking for a technically strong and motivated Hydraulic Product Specialist to take ownership of aftermarket, retrofit, troubleshooting, and product improvement activities related to hydraulic systems across our cement equipment portfolio.
Service Engineering sits at the intersection of sales and execution—we are the technical backbone behind proposals, troubleshooting, engineered solutions, and high-value retrofits. You will join a global team of product specialists supporting hydraulic power units (HPUs), hydraulic piping systems, cylinders, lubrication interfaces, and associated hydraulic components used on critical cement equipment such as roller presses, crushers, mills, and other heavy machinery.
You will apply your specialist knowledge across the full equipment lifecycle—from design and manufacturing through installation, commissioning, operation, and lifecycle support—working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers worldwide. This role requires a high degree of technical ownership and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple global projects.
Your Role & Responsibilities
Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Service, Sales, Business Development, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure successful project execution and alignment on technical solutions.
Technical Support: Provide expert hydraulic engineering support to internal teams, regional offices, field service engineers, and customers worldwide.
Continuous Improvement: Drive product standardization, reliability improvements, and value engineering initiatives for hydraulic systems and components.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, hydraulic schematics, calculations, technical reports, operating manuals, and service procedures while ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities
Technical ownership of hydraulic systems for aftermarket, retrofit, and capital equipment projects.
Prepare technical proposals and engineered solutions for hydraulic upgrades, modifications, and replacement systems.
Ensure engineering packages are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Support product standardization, product improvement, and value engineering initiatives across hydraulic equipment.
Review and approve hydraulic circuit designs, piping layouts, component selections, and engineering documentation.
Perform hydraulic calculations including system sizing, pressure loss calculations, cylinder sizing, accumulator sizing, pump selection, and component verification.
Support troubleshooting of hydraulic failures both remotely and during site visits.
Assist manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers with technical clarifications and production-related issues.
Participate in root cause analyses and develop corrective actions for recurring hydraulic issues.
Travel to customer sites and regional offices to support commissioning, troubleshooting, equipment inspections, customer meetings, and sales activities (approximately 30 days per year).
Promote a strong culture of safety in all engineering activities.
Work closely with colleagues across the global Service Engineering organization to ensure knowledge sharing and consistent engineering practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with industrial hydraulic systems within heavy industry.
Strong knowledge of hydraulic power units, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, accumulators, piping systems, filtration, and hydraulic control systems.

Proficiency with engineering software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent CAD tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a global engineering environment.
Familiarity with applicable hydraulic standards and industrial safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within the cement industry or other heavy process industries such as mining, steel, power generation, or bulk material handling.
Experience with hydraulic system design, commissioning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle support.
Knowledge of hydraulic system reliability, condition monitoring, and root cause failure analysis.
Practical workshop or field service experience with hydraulic equipment.
Experience supporting both aftermarket and OEM equipment.
