Job Summary

BigTapp is seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in BFSI (banking) domain data models. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data models aligned with enterprise data architecture. The candidate will work closely with business, data engineering, and analytics teams to ensure high-quality, well-structured data for reporting and analytics.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience in Data Modelling within BFSI (banking) domain
• Expertise in Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault modelling
• Strong SQL knowledge with structured and semi-structured data
• Experience in data profiling, mapping, and data quality implementation
• Hands-on experience with data modelling tools like Erwin, ER Studio, or Toad
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across business and technology
  
  

• Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models
• Perform data mapping, profiling, and transformation design
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards
• Collaborate with business teams to understand data requirements
• Work with data engineering teams for implementation of models
• Optimize models for performance and scalability
• Ensure compliance with security standards such as data masking and encryption
  
  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is preferred.
  
  

• Data Modelling: Star, Snowflake, Data Vault
• Tools: Erwin, ER Studio, Toad
• SQL: Advanced SQL querying and optimization
• Data Platforms: Data Warehousing, Big Data ecosystems

• Experience in Banking/Financial services domain
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
  
  

• 5+ years of experience in Data Modelling and Data Warehousing
