Job Description

Major Responsibilities

• Analyze and organize raw data
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition
• Combine raw information from different sources
• Build data systems and pipelines
• Evaluate business needs, objectives and conduct complex data analysis
• Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling
• Develop analytical tools and programs
• Collaborate with data scientists, architects and business analysts on several projects
• Regularly interact with various stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving analytic solutions
• Collaborate with team members and management to proactively identify and solve data quality issues
• Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics or Data Science
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a data engineer or in a similar role
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java and Python) and great numerical and analytical skills
• Hands-on experience with SQL database design, Snowflake data warehouse or similar
• Business analytics experience using Power BI (preferred), Tableau, Cognos
• Good understanding of key metrics used in Finance, Sales, Manufacturing and Supply Chain
• Conceptual understanding and technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Knowledge of data science tools such as AI/ML, Python and Microsoft Azure Services.
• Data engineering certification (e.g Snowflake Data Engineer) is a plus
