Overview

As a Data Engineering Architect specializing in Snowflake, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data pipelines, managing data migration projects, and providing pre-sales support to our clients. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of data solutions that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Pipeline Design:
  • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of data in Snowflake.
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Data Migration:
  • Lead data migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms to Snowflake.
  • Develop migration strategies, including data mapping, transformation, and validation processes.
  • Architecture and Best Practices:
  • Define and implement best practices for data architecture, data modeling, and data governance within Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Pre-Sales Support:
  • Assist the sales team in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and proposal development.
  • Engage with clients to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions leveraging Snowflake.
  • Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to deliver data-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data architecture and pipeline design.
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake, including data warehousing, data modeling, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with data migration projects, including knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data integration tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in pre-sales support and client engagement is a plus.
