We are seeking a technical Buyer to support our manufacturing operations by managing procurement of engineered components and industrial equipment used in cement processing and pneumatic transportation (PT) systems.

This role is critical in ensuring material availability, supplier performance, and cost competitiveness to support manufacturing schedules and customer deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing activities to ensure materials and components are available to support manufacturing and production schedules.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, including RFQs, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and purchase order placement.
• Source and procure engineered-to-order industrial components, including machined parts, castings, and fabricated assemblies.
• Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and logistics teams to ensure procurement supports production requirements.
• Analyze and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery performance, and long-term capability.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with local and global suppliers.
• Manage procurement of critical and long-lead items to ensure project and production continuity.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive improvements in delivery reliability and cost efficiency.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and ERP data while ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.
• Support operational improvements and initiatives to reduce lead times and strengthen supplier partnerships.
• Promote a culture of personal and workplace safety.
  
  

• 3 -10 years of procurement or buying experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience sourcing engineered industrial components such as machined parts, fabricated assemblies, or castings.
• Experience procuring equipment or components used in cement processing, pneumatic transportation systems, or bulk material handling equipment.
• Proven experience managing RFQs, supplier negotiations, and commercial agreements.
• Experience managing procurement of long-lead industrial equipment and project-based materials.
• Strong understanding of supplier performance management and supply chain risk mitigation.
  
  

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes and engineered products.
• Experience with ERP systems - Oracle, Atlas, Enovia, Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S experience is a plus.
