Finance Specialist - South Europe

What you will do

We are hiring a Finance Specialist based in Barcelona or Milan.

We are looking for a dedicated Finance professional to manage the following tasks and processes for South Europe region - Spain, Portugal and Italy, ensuring accurate and compliant operations:

• Own finance compliance delivery for the assigned affiliates, including month-end close, statutory accounts, audit execution, tax compliance, and internal controls.
• Lead the execution of internal and external audits for the assigned affiliates, including planning audit activities, coordinating SSC, external auditors, and internal stakeholders, and ensuring that audit evidence is complete, high‑quality, and submitted on time.
• Track audit findings, drive remediation actions, and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
• Own month-end close and statutory reporting compliance, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
• Own tax compliance delivery, ensuring timely and accurate submissions and providing support during tax audits.
• Monitor SSC service delivery quality (P2P, R2R) for the assigned affiliates, resolving issues or escalating where necessary.
• Contribute to process improvements and KPI monitoring to strengthen overall finance compliance.
• Collaborate with regional finance teams (Finance Excellence, Controlling, Credit Management) to ensure end-to-end compliance.
  
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Finance
• Minimum 3 years of related working experience
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken). Additional European language skills are a plus
• Understanding of key financial processes
• Knowledge of SAP
• Good Excel skills
• Strong analytical skill, including ability to compile and analyze reports
• High attention to detail
• Persuasive communication style
• Self-driven (working autonomously), while proactively seeking support when needed
• Easily adapting to change and ambiguity
• Experience in multinational matrix organization is a plus.
