1.0      Job Summary

Material Planning Engineer will be responsible for the strategic oversight and management of all materials-related activities for the Ghaziabad Manufacturing Facility. This role is responsible for collaborating with Project Management, Engineering, Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely procurement and effective utilisation of materials, managing the master production schedule, producing an achievable shop floor schedule and optimising inventory levels. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and project management. This role will report to the Production Leader and will be based at our Ghaziabad manufacturing facility. This is a 6 day working role

2.0    Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible to execute the site materials plan meeting customer requirements
• Develop and implement materials management strategies aligned with project requirements and organizational goals
• Analyse project demands and forecast material needs based on production schedules and lead times
• Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of materials
• Implement best practices for inventory turnover and minimize excess stock while avoiding shortages
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and take initiatives to enhance materials management efficiency
• Develop training programs to enhance the teams skills in materials management and supply chain processes
• Where slippages occur, ensure steps are taken and communicated to the Site Lead and relevant functional leads with a recovery plan
• Responsible for reporting Materials related metrics to the organization.

4.0    Education and Experience

• BE/BTech in mechanical engineering. Diploma in material management would be preferred.
• Minimum 7-8 years of experience as PPC/ material planner in pump or similar industry  is essential. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
• The ability to work as part of a multi-functional team.
• A strong awareness and approach to safe working practices.
• Any knowledge of pump hydraulics would be advantageous

• Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
