Job Title: Kennel Assistant

Location: Southern Veterinary Center

Schedule: Part-time — Weekdays 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM and Saturdays 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Flexibile schedule.

Pay Rate: $13 per hour

Position Overview

The Kennel Assistant plays a vital role in keeping our clinic clean, organized, and running smoothly. This is an excellent entry-level position for someone who enjoys working around animals and wants to gain experience in a veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect kennels, exam rooms, and common areas
• Wash and fold laundry
• Wash and sanitize dishes and instruments
• Restock supplies in exam rooms and treatment areas
• Empty trash and maintain a clean work environment
• Sweep and mop floors regularly
• Follow safety and infection-control protocols
• Assist team members as needed in a fast-paced setting

• Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
