Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer to join our team, where most core business logic is implemented in Oracle PL/SQL. This role requires strong technical depth in SQL/PLSQL, production support maturity, and the ability to work across adjacent technologies such as Java, Spring, and Angular. The ideal candidate must be comfortable using AI tools for coding and code reviews, while maintaining high standards for correctness, performance, and security. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust Oracle PL/SQL solutions including packages, procedures, functions, cursors, and exception handling frameworks. Build and support payroll-critical inbound and outbound data/file processing using UTL_FILE and Oracle database utilities. Develop complex SQL queries for transactional and reporting use cases; optimize performance through indexing, execution plan analysis, and query tuning. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement stable fixes with strong logging and error handling. Work on Unix/Linux command-line operations and shell scripting to support batch processing, job automation, and deployments. Support banking and external system integrations, including file validations, reconciliation, and failure-recovery mechanisms. Contribute to security fixes and secure coding initiatives, especially for sensitive payroll and financial data. Collaborate with Java/Spring/Angular teams on cross-functional feature delivery and platform modernization. Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly for coding, refactoring, test generation, and review acceleration, with strong human validation. Translate business and financial requirements into reliable technical solutions through clear communication with stakeholders. Must-Have Skills Strong expertise in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL. Hands-on experience in coding, development, and error handling using PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and exceptions. Good experience in inbound and outbound file processing in Oracle DB with UTL_FILE. Ability to write complex SQL and perform performance tuning for high-volume workloads. Strong Unix/Linux command and scripting knowledge. Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Willingness and agility to learn new technologies required by the project. Good-to-Have Skills Knowledge of banking domain and payment processing integrations. Awareness of secure SDLC practices and compliance expectations for financial/payroll systems. ##LI-DNI
