- Job Purpose
To strengthen the maintenance function by providing dedicated technical ownership for Digital Printing Machines, Cutting Machines, Utilities and Electrical Systems, while driving a proactive, data-driven and reliability-focused maintenance culture. The role will reduce single-person dependency, improve equipment reliability and support sustainable plant operations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance support for Digital Printing Machines and Cutting Machines.
- Maintain and improve Air Compressors, HVAC systems and other critical utilities.
- Support preventive maintenance of transformers, electrical panels, motors, starters and industrial electrical installations.
- Plan, execute and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement Why-Why Analysis, RCA and CAPA with effectiveness verification.
- Monitor MTBF, MTTR, machine availability, breakdown hours, breakdown frequency and PM compliance.
- Use maintenance data to identify trends, chronic failures and reliability improvement opportunities.
- Allocate maintenance jobs based on skill, priority and equipment criticality; support manpower utilization and shift coordination.
- Maintain machine history, breakdown records, PM checklists, RCA/CAPA reports and other maintenance documentation.
- Identify critical spare requirements and coordinate with Stores/Purchase to minimize downtime due to spare unavailability.
- Drive 5S, safety, LOTO and good maintenance practices within the department.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Purchase, Safety and external/OEM service teams as required.
- Support maintenance SOP implementation and continuous improvement projects.

The position will reduce single-person dependency for critical Printing and Cutting Machines, provide technical backup and knowledge continuity, strengthen proactive maintenance, and improve RCA/CAPA, PM compliance, KPI monitoring and manpower utilization. The expected business outcome is lower breakdown frequency and downtime, improved MTBF/MTTR and higher machine availability.
The Senior Engineer – Maintenance will report directly to the Sr. Manager / Maintenance Manager. The role will provide technical leadership and support to Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians and coordinate closely with Production, Utilities, Electrical, Stores, Purchase, Quality and Safety teams.
Preferred candidate profile: a hands-on maintenance engineer who combines strong machine and utility troubleshooting capability with proactive maintenance, reliability improvement, data analysis, RCA/CAPA and team-handling skills. The candidate should be capable of helping transition the department from reactive maintenance toward preventive, proactive and reliability-based maintenance.
