Job Description – QC Supervisor / Vendor Management

Role Purpose: To manage quality control, production coordination and vendor performance at vendor locations for Covers, Cushions and other assigned products, ensuring production meets approved quality, productivity and dispatch requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review daily and weekly production plans with vendors and ensure production is aligned with dispatch priorities.
• Manage production coverage on a rotational basis for Covers, Cushions and other assigned products, ensuring every product and process receives adequate supervision.
• Identify manpower skill gaps, arrange cross-training, monitor absenteeism and coordinate backup manpower with vendors.
• Conduct first-piece approval before bulk production and monitor critical quality parameters throughout production.
• Ensure correct dimensions, stitching, seams, zippers, piping, labels, accessories and overall product appearance as per approved standards.
• Conduct inline and final inspections and immediately stop production in case of critical or repeated quality issues.
• Ensure operators follow approved SOPs/WIs, verify machine settings and attachments, and ensure approved samples/master references are available at workstations.
• Track defects by operator, process and product; maintain daily rejection and rework data; conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Act as the primary QC and production coordination point at vendor locations and conduct daily production and quality reviews with vendor teams.
• Communicate company requirements clearly and escalate major quality, manpower or capacity issues to management.
• Monitor operator-wise and process-wise productivity against targets, identify bottlenecks and improve line balancing and manpower utilization.
• Train operators on quality requirements and SOPs, provide on-job training to new operators and develop multi-skilled manpower through rotational training.
• Maintain the skill matrix for critical processes.
• Ensure 100% compliance with approved quality standards before dispatch, including packing, labels, quantity and product identification.
• Ensure rejected or hold products are properly segregated and release only products that meet all quality requirements with proper OK/Reject status.
• Maintain QC inspection, kit return and re-print reports and escalate critical issues to management.
