Mid-Level Java Backend Engineer. We are seeking a Java Backend Engineer to develop, maintain, deploy, and support enterprise backend services for identity, authentication, user-profile, session, and OTP-based workflows. The role involves working on business-critical REST APIs, secure authentication flows, database operations, messaging integrations, and production deployments on JBoss/WildFly.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java-based REST APIs for user registration, authentication, profile management, password updates, session handling, and administrative operations.
• Build and support secure authentication mechanisms including JWT, API credentials, OTP/MFA flows, token validation, token refresh, and logout.
• Develop and maintain OTP generation, verification, expiry, retry/failed-attempt, and notification-delivery workflows.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and JDBC-based data-access components for MySQL databases.
• Integrate backend services with Apache Kafka and external HTTP-based enterprise systems.
• Deploy, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot WAR applications on JBoss/WildFly.
• Manage application-server concerns including JNDI datasource configuration, deployment setup, logs, runtime configuration, and release support.
• Investigate production issues using application/server logs, request IDs, database records, Kafka messages, and API traces.
• Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and improve code quality and reliability.
• Create and maintain API documentation, technical documentation, and operational runbooks.
• Follow secure coding practices while handling customer identity, authentication, and sensitive data.
  
  

• 4–5 years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
• Strong core Java knowledge, including collections, exception handling, concurrency fundamentals, streams, and secure coding practices.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs using JAX-RS, Jersey, RESTEasy, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Java EE/Jakarta EE concepts, including CDI, EJB, Servlets, JAX-RS, and WAR deployments.
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting applications on JBoss/WildFly or similar Java application servers.
