Assistant Manager - Import Procurement

Job Purpose

Responsible for managing end-to-end import procurement activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of materials
• Understanding of Price negotiations, pricing, payment terms, lead times, Incoterms, and rate contracts
• Prepare and release purchase orders and tracking mechanism at item level
• Understanding of import documentation such as Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, and other regulatory documents.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier performance reports, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborating with cross functional teams Planning and Finance for payment processing and cost reconciliation
  

• Strong knowledge of international procurement and global sourcing majorly from countries like USA and China
• Excellent communication, negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Keen on taking on new projects and new initiatives
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in import procurement, sourcing, or international supply chain management.
