Our client manufactures and supplies precast concrete solutionsdelivering pipes, culverts and engineered products that support water, sewer, transport and infrastructure projects across Australia.
About The Role
We are seeking a Production Engineer to support the safe and efficient operation of a busy precast manufacturing facility. This role combines production engineering, continuous improvement, and safety leadership. You will work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to optimise processes, improve safety outcomes, and ensure reliable production delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage production workflows and daily manufacturing schedules
- Drive process improvements using Lean manufacturing principles
- Monitor and optimise plant and equipment performance
- Troubleshoot production and technical issues across operations
- Lead incident and near-miss investigations using root cause analysis
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and hazard identification activities
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Support quality assurance, concrete testing, and product compliance
- Promote continuous improvement across safety and production functions
Skills And Experience Required
- Experience in production, manufacturing, or process engineering
- Strong background in safety investigations and risk management
- Experience conducting root cause analysis using recognised methodologies
- Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and CAPA processes
- Understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience within manufacturing, construction products, or heavy industry environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience preferred
