A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join a high:achieving, well respected, and well:resourced SEN school in Ealing. This SEN Teacher role is to cover a maternity leave starting after half term, with a strong emphasis on ensuring a thorough handover. The SEN Teacher position is expected to run until the end of the calendar year as a minimum.

The SEN Teacher Role

The successful SEN Teacher applicant will be teaching a Key Stage 4 class of 8 pupils with complex needs, and successfully line managing 2 highly skilled full:time Teaching Assistants.

Pupil Needs Include

• Autism
• Down syndrome
• Global developmental delay
• Complex medical needs
• Severe arthritis with associated learning difficulties
• All pupils are verbal, though Makaton and PECS are used as communication tools.
  
  

Attainment levels: P6:P8

Curriculum focus: Sensory:based learning

The Ideal SEN Teacher Candidate

We are looking for an experienced or budding SEN Teacher who:

• Can plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons tailored to a sensory curriculum
• Has strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• Has a experience as a good or outstanding teacher
• Demonstrates passion, commitment, and adaptability
• Lives in Ealing area or commutable distance from school
• Is able to commit to the duration of the placement
  
  

Experience working in a UK school as an SEN Teacher in complex needs or EYFS is highly desirable, though strong mainstream teachers and overseas:trained teachers with relevant experience are encouraged .
