Job Tittle : Manager - Quality
What You Will Do:
Participate in New Product Development/ First Article Inspection / Inspection activities / Audits to assure that supplier meet customer quality requirements.
- Lead and coach the team of Inspectors/Junior inspectors or designated inspectors to understand the Drawings, process and documentation system
- Active role in Training and providing the Awareness of quality to the team.
- Ensures that Quality Management System policies, procedures, objectives, and targets developed are implemented and maintained in accordance with the AS9100 and ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management System requirements and all applicable FAA regulations.
- Communicates the facility quality policy to all suppliers and enforces the policies, programs, and objectives established.
- Interface with customers for audits, inspections, and performance metrics.
- Review customer and regulatory documents and audit findings; incorporate requirements or corrective actions into quality system and procedures.
- Perform investigations and actions to resolve field problems and track customer complaints and problems. Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
- Participate and lead team activities in continuous improvement, problem solving, Lean, Six Sigma projects, Six Sigma GB certified etc.
- Review and approve changes to engineering documents/specifications assuring continued compliance with customer requirements.
- Influence product design for manufacturability, process specifications, input to equipment/tool design and selection; participate in Lean manufacturing planning and training.
- Participate in standards development and maintenance, and projects related to analysis of production flows.
- Manages and reports the monthly operational reporting metrics, conduct CAB and initiates actions to improve areas not meeting objectives.
- Investigates all processes in manufacturing, test, repair and inspection which created non-conformances in the quality of the end product and makes recommendations for elimination of the cause.
- Participate in the activities of the Safety Committee for safety inspections and accident investigations for cause and corrective action and submit to facility management and shop supervision the findings and recommendations
- Work Experience in PFMEA, Control Plan, Gauge R & R, PPAP, APQP, Training on quality topic
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- At least 12+ years’ experience in a electrical assemblies / Manufacturing environment with at least 8 years leading a team of Quality
- Experience in training & coaching the team on Problem resolution using right quality tools.
- Sound knowledge in the concept of Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance initiatives
- Effective communication interpersonal skills. Able to mobilize the cross functional team on issue resolution.
- Good analytical technical problem-solving skills
- Assertive yet tactful in approach
- AS9100D Aviation QMS Auditor & EtQ
- Supplier Quality Procedures
- APQP / PPAP / MPR / MFP / ZDP / CORE
- Technical capability to support analysis on Electronics, PCBA and Molding process.
- Understanding of various manufacturing processes and Digitalization tools
- Knowledge of RRCA, analytics
- FAI as per AS9102, Net inspect
- Special process knowledge
- Statistical analysis / Six Sigma is desirable.
