Job Description

As an MIS Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the information systems and technology within an organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the management information system (MIS) functions effectively and efficiently, enabling the smooth processing and dissemination of critical business information. By leveraging your expertise in both information technology and business operations, you'll be pivotal in optimizing the organization’s use of technology and data. You will coordinate with various departments, analyze the organization’s data needs, and implement strategies for improved data handling and system management. Your role is essential in identifying technological trends and integrating them into business strategies to enhance the company's operations and decision-making processes.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the organization's management information systems.
  • Coordinate with different departments to assess their technological requirements.
  • Ensure that the organization's data security protocols are robust and up-to-date.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure the efficiency and reliability of operations.
  • Provide technical support to staff for any issues relating to the MIS.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the accuracy of data reporting.
  • Train and support staff in using the MIS effectively for their work purposes.
  • Research and recommend new technologies that could enhance business operations.
  • Create reports and presentations to communicate system performance and improvements.
  • Maintain documentation of systems, procedures, and configurations for future use.
  • Coordinate system upgrades and software installations with minimum disruption.
  • Analyze business trends in data to support managerial decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing or coordinating management information systems.
  • Strong understanding of data management techniques and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills for data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Experience in training and supporting staff with new technologies and systems.
  • Ability to drive project management initiatives and adhere to deadlines.
