A Day in the Life

The Surgical Innovation Therapies portfolio partners with surgeons, hospitals, and healthcare providers to support patient care across general surgery and related specialties. The portfolio includes advanced surgical technologies and solutions in stapling, energy, electrosurgery, wound closure, and hernia repair. This sales role is responsible for driving portfolio adoption, building customer partnerships, and identifying growth opportunities across a defined territory while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to support commercial objectives.

This position is based in Dehradun and covers Dehradun, Meerut, and nearby areas. The role is field-based and requires regular travel within the assigned territory, with approximately 30% travel expected to engage with healthcare professionals, support product utilization, and manage customer accounts.

The Sales Executive is responsible for achieving sales objectives across the Surgical Innovation Therapies portfolio within an assigned territory. This role works closely with surgeons, operating theatre teams, procurement stakeholders, and channel partners to drive product adoption, support clinical utilization, and develop long-term customer relationships. The position requires a combination of commercial acumen, clinical engagement, territory planning, and account management to deliver business growth.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Achieve territory sales targets and product-specific objectives across the Surgical Innovation Therapies portfolio which includes Energy Based Device, Hernia, Stapling Technologies and Sutures.
• Develop and execute territory plans to expand product adoption and increase market penetration within assigned accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, hospitals, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct product presentations, case support activities, and clinical discussions to promote appropriate product utilization.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities to inform territory strategies.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Sales Operations, and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives and account development plans.
• Manage distributor and channel partner performance to support effective product availability, compliance, and territory execution.
• Gather and communicate customer feedback, market insights, and product-related observations to internal stakeholders to support business planning and portfolio growth.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 4+ years experience*
• OR Associate’s Degree AND 2+ years experience*
• OR Bachelor’s Degree
 

Preferred:

• Experience selling products within stapling, energy, electrosurgery, wound closure, hernia repair, or other surgical technology portfolios.
• Experience engaging with surgeons, operating theatre teams, procurement stakeholders, and hospital decision-makers.
• Knowledge of the local healthcare market, competitive landscape, and customer dynamics within the territory.
• Experience working with distribution partners and channel management processes.
• Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into territory growth plans and account strategies.
