ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

The role involves leading and managing the financial inclusion (FI) and general banking (GB) liabilities portfolio within the North Liabilities department of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. The incumbent will be responsible for driving growth, ensuring compliance, and optimizing the liabilities products to meet the bank's strategic objectives. This position requires a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in retail liabilities, deposit mobilization, and team leadership to enhance the bank's market presence and profitability in the designated region.

Key Duties And Responsibilities Of The Role

• Develop and execute strategies to grow the financial inclusion and general banking liabilities portfolio in the North region.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of branch managers and sales officers to achieve set targets for deposit mobilization and customer acquisition.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies related to liabilities products and services.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
• Collaborate with product, risk, and operations teams to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
• Monitor portfolio quality, manage risks associated with liabilities, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare and present regular reports on liabilities performance, market share, and growth initiatives to senior management.
• Drive customer engagement initiatives to increase retention and cross-selling of banking products.
• Coordinate with marketing and digital teams to promote liabilities products through various channels.
• Ensure effective implementation of financial inclusion initiatives aligned with the bank’s mission and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Educational Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in banking with a focus on retail liabilities, financial inclusion, and team leadership roles.
