Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Sourcing Engineer to join our team and handle supplier relationships with strong negotiation and sourcing skills. The candidate should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in working with the sourcing department with specialization in Sheet metal, castings, forgings, Machining and ready to work on other commodities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify potential suppliers and manage supplier relationships for metals such as Castings, forgings, Electricals, Sheet metal, machining and to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms for the company
• Develop and maintain a database of suppliers and track supplier performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sales, and finance to ensure smooth procurement processes
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers and market trends
• Maintain accurate purchase records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for goods and services as needed
• Develop and implement cost-saving strategies to reduce procurement costs
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in working with the sourcing department
• Strong design (DFM) and negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Results-driven, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to travel as required
• Should communicate fluently in Hindi
