Job Description

Review tender specifications, prepare technical bids, and develop compliance matrices with clear deviations and clarifications.
Perform preliminary thermal calculations, sizing, and cycle heat balance for proposal stage.
Provide accurate technical inputs for costing, ensuring competitiveness without compromising reliability or maintainability.
Act as a technical focal point for customers and consultants during proposal stage, Attending Prebid and Post bid meetings to close the deviations and clarifications on the tender.
Support sales/business development in technical discussions and customer presentations.
Carry out detailed thermal design for customer orders, including cycle heat balance, steam path selection, extraction/bleed point optimization, and defining sizing criteria and inputs for all TG cycle equipment’s.
Prepare performance guarantee curves, operating envelopes, and part-load characteristics.
Coordinate with detailed design, manufacturing, and commissioning teams to ensure design intent is met.
Manage engineering change requests related to thermal scope during project execution.
Develop performance test procedures in accordance with ASME PTC6 or equivalent standards.
Define instrumentation requirement and select correct instrument of high accuracy for measurement of data during PG Test
Carry out site survey and do conditional monitoring of the unit for checking its readiness to undergo PG Test.
Defining the shortfall areas and rectification requirements to ensure plant is ready for performance test.
Lead site-based performance acceptance testing of steam turbines and auxiliaries during commissioning phase.
Analyze test data, compare against contractual guarantees, and prepare official performance test reports.
Drive resolution of any deviations or shortfalls against performance guarantees, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Good understanding of Power Plant operations.
Knowledge of Thermodynamic modelling software's such as Ebsilon Pro, Gate Cycle, ST PRO etc.
