Role Overview

As a Trailer / Showreel Editor, you will be responsible for editing high-impact promotional content, studio reels, and internal/external showcases. This role requires strong cinematic sensibility — akin to trailer cutting, promo editing, or music-driven storytelling — where rhythm, emotion, and pacing are key.

You should be able to work with raw VFX material, find its story, and elevate it with dynamic sound, music, and visual energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualise and edit trailer-style showreels, teasers, and promotional videos.
• Identify emotional and visual arcs in VFX content and translate them into compelling narratives.
• Source and select music, sound design, and voiceovers to build emotional resonance.
• Cut fast-paced, cinematic edits that feel like movie trailers or campaign promos.
• Collaborate with the Creative Head, producers, and supervisors to identify reel-worthy material.
• Perform light to mid-level color grading to maintain cinematic consistency.
• Manage multiple edits, maintain organized project files, and deliver on tight timelines.
• Explore new visual styles, editing rhythms, and storytelling techniques.
  
  

• 3–5 years of professional experience in trailer editing, promo editing, or creative video editing.
• Strong command over Adobe Premiere Pro (DaVinci Resolve a plus).
• Deep understanding of pacing, timing, and sound sync.
• Proven ability to create emotionally charged edits through music, dialogue, and rhythm.
• Experience editing trailers, TV promos, showreels, or brand films.
• Understanding of color grading, LUTs, and cinematic look development (preferred).
• Familiarity with VFX content or post-production pipelines is an advantage.
