Test Architect

Job Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Test Automation Architect with strong expertise in Tricentis Tosca, Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber/BDD frameworks. The candidate will be responsible for designing and scaling automation frameworks, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and leading a team of automation engineers to improve test coverage, quality, and execution efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Automation Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Tricentis Tosca, Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber/BDD.
• Develop reusable, maintainable, and modular test cases and automation components.
• Establish coding standards, review automation scripts, and promote automation best practices.
• Implement Tosca-based automation solutions for enterprise applications.

2. Test Automation & Functional Validation

• Translate business requirements into executable test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate application workflows, integrations, reports, and user roles.
• Support release validation, patch testing, and regression cycles.

3. CI/CD Integration

• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Configure parallel execution, scheduled runs, and headless testing where applicable.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and implement quality gates and test reporting dashboards.

4. Quality Engineering

• Apply BDD/TDD, risk-based testing, test data management, and end-to-end traceability.
• Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
• Support cross-browser testing, data validation, accessibility testing, and basic performance testing.
• Analyze test failures, perform root cause analysis, and continuously improve automation stability.

5. Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor a team of 4–6 automation engineers.
• Plan sprints, allocate tasks, and track delivery in Agile Scrum/Kanban environments.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders.
• Communicate automation progress, quality metrics, risks, and status updates to leadership.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca.
• Tricentis Tosca certification (AS1/AS2 or higher).
• Proficiency in Java, Selenium WebDriver, and Cucumber/BDD.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Tosca TestCase Design (TCD) and Test Data Service (TDS).
• Experience with JIRA and/or Azure DevOps for defect tracking and requirements traceability.
• Strong understanding of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience in team leadership, mentoring, and Agile delivery.

Good-to-Have Skills

• API test automation using Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.
• Exposure to service virtualization and data modeling.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Knowledge of accessibility and security testing.
• Understanding of performance testing fundamentals and test execution optimization.
