Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Designer Smart (3D) with 15 to 20 years of experience and expertise in BIM & Revit to support telecommunications infrastructure projects. This role involves designing and modeling telecom and security infrastructure using Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools like Smart 3D and Revit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecom and security facility design, network infrastructure, and 3D modeling, ensuring projects comply with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed smart 3D models for telecommunications and Security systems including but not limited to telecom and security infrastructure (OSP and ISP), cable routing layouts, equipment placement, network topology, communication towers, and building layouts.
  • Convert rough sketches and specifications into detailed models
  • Review and update models to reflect design changes
  • Analytical skills to interpret and integrate 2D blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents into a 3D model.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, and other related tools for creating complex 3D models.
  • Generate as-built models, construction drawings, and technical documentation in smart 3D and BIM Revit.
  • Develop comprehensive design solutions that support the deployment and maintenance of telecommunication networks while optimizing for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Manage BIM workflows to enhance collaboration between engineering, construction, and telecom teams.
  • Conduct clash detection and resolution to prevent design conflicts between Architectural, structural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and telecom installations.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to telecommunications industry standards (e.g., TIA-222, NEC, BICSI, IEEE, and local building codes).
  • Maintain and develop BIM/Revit standards, templates, and families specific to telecom infrastructure.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies, BIM advancements, and telecom industry best practices.
  • Lead design teams in complex telecom projects, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers and CAD/BIM technicians.
  • Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and project planning discussions.
  • Software Proficiency in Smart 3D (S3D) and familiarity with other design software such as BIM Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar.
